File Transfer Checklist
Below is a listing of the criteria for using our File Transfer system. Use this
checklist to make sure your files/artwork will be accepted and useable.
- Photos/Scans

PHOTOS: Grayscale and 4-color images resolution should be 210-300 dpi @ 100%

FORMAT: Preferably TIF, EPS or PDF. Avoid using JPEG because most are
low-resolution images that will print jagged, especially noticeable when trying
to enlarge the image.

SCANS: Grayscale and color images must always be high resolution with a minimum
210 dpi @ 100%. Line art should be a minimum of 1200 dpi @ 100%. If in doubt,
let us do the scanning to assure the quality of the finished product.

ILLUSTRATIONS: Please include freehand or Adobe Illustrator or document files
in In-Design that have images placed within the file.
- Fonts

Please include ALL fonts used in your files. If postscript, include both
printer and screen fonts.

Illustrations created in Freehand, Adobe Illustrator or In-Design need the
fonts included OR convert all fonts to outlines. Keep in mind that if you
convert to outlines, we cannot make last minute wording changes .

Please use the actual font face. Do not use stylized fonts like bold and italic
.
- Hard Copy

ALWAYS include a composite hard copy along with laser separations of your
document, if applicable. Please make sure your hard copy represents the most
recent updates to your file.
